Which Windows Mobile OS support Plan2Go?
Plan2Go requires that you are running Windows Mobile 7.5, also known as Windows Mango. Unfortunately if you phone does not support the upgrade to Windows Mango you will not be able to install and use Plan2Go. Please keep an eye on the FAQs for more information on the upcoming Windows Mobile 8.

What does registering do for me? How can I register after I dismissed the original offer?
Sending your registration to us will sign you up to receive special promotional offers from Day-Timer, it will also sign you up for our completely free monthly newsletter and give you the opportunity to fill out feedback surveys which will help us improve the app to your liking.
If you wish to sign up and dismissed the registration screen already you may do so from the settings menu of the application. Simply tap Settings then scroll down and tap the “Registration” button. On this screen you may fill out your first name and email address and tap “Register”
If you wish to unsubscribe from any or all of these services, return to the same screen mentioned above and uncheck the services you do not want. When you are finished tap “Update Registration”.

Can I change the appearance of the calendar?
Absolutely! Currently you have two different skins to choose from. Tap settings and tap “Themes” to select which of the two you would like to use. The default Plan2Go appearance is a standard brown and yellow theme, while Pink Ribbon is made up of pastels and pink and shows your support for breast cancer research.

How do I purchase the Day-Timer Plan2Go app?
You may purchase the Windows Mobile version of Plan2Go by searching for Plan2Go or Day-Timer through the Zune program on your computer or on your phone using the Marketplace app.

How can I set up repeating/recurring appointments?
When you create a new appointment, or edit an existing appointment, you have the option of making it repeat. Go to add/edit an appointment from within your calendar. Set up/edit the appointment on the day it is to begin. To create a repeating appointment, begin by tapping on the dropdown box under the Repeat heading to decide how often you would like the appointment to appear. You can choose Every Day, Every Week, Every 2 Weeks, Every Month, Every Year (great for birthdays!) only. Next you may either select a final date for the recurrences or tap "Repeat Forever" to have a never ending repeating event. When done, put the last of the information into the event and tap "Save".

Is my information being saved on an external server, and is this safe?
Some of your task information is being saved on an external server in order to keep track of your most recent tasks syncs. However this server is secure and the transfer from your phone to Outlook is done using secure protocols.

How long does it take to connect to the server?
Connecting to the server should only take a few moments, although this is dependent on your carrier’s Internet service or the strength of your signal to a wireless connection.

How do I toggle between the different calendar views?
There are currently two calendar event views in Plan2Go. Weekly and Monthly. When you first launch the app, flick left until you see the main Calendar monthly screen. Tap once on a day to view the details for that day below the calendar. Double tap to view the weekly view for that week. In weekly view you may flick left and right to view the different days of that week, and scroll up and down to view all of that particular day. When you wish to return to the main screen, press your phone's Back button.

What do the colored squares and circles on my Month-View mean?
You may have noticed that some of the days on your month view have become populated with different colored squares and circles. These are an indication of what kind of tasks and appointments you have scheduled for that day. Squares represent tasks while circles represent appointments. The color they are says what category those appointments or tasks are in. For example, if you have two red appointments, one blue appointment, and three yellow tasks on May 5th then One red circle, one blue circle and one yellow square will appear on May 5th. For more detail on a specific day simply double-tap it.

How do I change the end time of an appointment or task?
Go to the appointment or task you would like to edit and tap it, then tap the menu button and select the edit option. Under the End Date and Time Section, tap the date and use the up and down buttons to change the date, then tap set. Repeat this process for the time. When you are done scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen and tap "Save".

How can I quickly jump to a day on the calendar view?
To quickly jump to any date within the calendar, begin in Month View. Tap the name of the month once to bring up a screen asking you to select a Month and Year. Select the Month an Year you wish to jump to and then tap the "Done" button.

How do I change the time zone or regional settings?
Plan2Go automatically adjusts to your phone’s main settings. When you update your phone’s settings, the app will automatically change too. However, some of the apps features will remain in English.

How do I mark a task as Complete or Incomplete?
You may change the status of a task by tapping the task then tapping the edit button. From there scroll down and tap the complete checkbox. When done tap Save at the bottom of the task.

How do I delete or edit an appointment or task?
In the appointment or task screens, tap the menu button and select the edit or delete option. If you are editing/deleting a reoccurring appointment, you will be prompted to delete just that one appointment or the series of appointments.

What calendar email service can I use with Day-Timer Plan2Go?
Plan2Go can be used with any calendar email service which you can connect to using your Windows phone. Since our app leverages the power of the Windows Mobile operating system to connect to remote calendars, the answer to this question depends on your phone's capabilities. Most Windows phones can access all Web-Based Email Calendars such as Yahoo! and AOL. If you require assistance with this service, or for more information on setting up your phone to sync with your email, please speak with your Mobile Service Carrier or your Phone's Manufacturer.

Must I have access to an Exchange Server for Outlook task sync?
No, in order to sync Outlook tasks you will only need Outlook 2003 or above, and must be running it on a Windows PC. For installation instructions, please see the pdf file at the top of this page named "Outlook Task Installation Instructions"

In attempting to install the plug-in update, I used the repair option but it did not work?
In order to install the new plug-in update you must first uninstall your current plug-in version. Make sure to close down Outlook and then use the Add/Remove Programs function of Windows Control Panel to do this prior to installing the new version. Will this Calendar sync to my other web based calendars?
Yes, once you have setup your phone to Sync with your favorite Web-based Calendars - your calendar information will populate your Day-Timer Plan2Go calendar. However, please note that this sync is only in one direction.

How do you import events from your Windows Phone to Plan2Go?

  1. Begin on your phone's Start Screen and flick left.
  2. Scroll down to the Settings option and tap it.
  3. Tap "Email + Account"
  4. From this screen you may tap Add an Account. Or if the calendar you wish to sync with is already listed skip to Step 6.
  5. Enter the information you are asked for. For corporate Exchange servers you may need to contact your Systems Administrator for more information.
  6. When you are done tap the new account on your list of accounts. Make sure that there is a check mark next to the "Calendar" heading under "Content to sync".
  7. For a constant sync you may want to set "Download new content" to something less than the default, however additional carrier charges may apply.
  8. Set up a name for this account and when done tap "Done".
  9. Open Plan2Go and then tap the "Sync" button. This will sync both your tasks and appointments at the same time.
  10. Note that you may receive an error message instructing you to fill in your task username and password. If you do not have one you may put in any data such as your name. If you wish to use task syncing as well, please use this opportunity to visit the Task Sync Plug-In tab above which will let you know how to set up your username and password.

Your calendar appointments will now be imported into Plan2Go. Please note that importing tasks in this way is only one way.

Can I select the color that my calendar appointments populate Plan2Go?
When you sync your Web Calendars with Plan2Go, a unique color is assigned to each calendar. For example, if you synced Outlook Exchange all appointments appear in the same color while your Google Calendar appointments would appear as a different color. You may change this color by going into the settings menu and tapping Default Calendar Category. There you will see a list of the calendars you are currently syncing with. Tap the one you wish to change and tap the category you wish that calendar’s appointments to be imported into. You will receive a message asking you to choose whether or not you wish the currently existing appointments which came from that calendar to also be moved. If you do tap yes, if not tap no.

Are calendar appointments synced real-time?
No, due to technical limitations of the Windows operating system, you may only download the appointments from your calendar into your Plan2Go. You must tap the Sync button for this to happen.

Is there a limit to the number of Calendars that I can sync with my App?
There is no limit to the numbers of calendars that you may have synced to your calendar at once.

How can I import my Facebook events?
To import your Facebook events you will have to integrate your Facebook account into Plan2Go. To do this tap Settings and then scroll down until you see the Facebook icon and tap it. If you are already signed-into your Facebook account through the Facebook app then this will automatically bring you to a page which shows which parts of your Facebook account we would need access to. If not then your browser will open up and you will be asked to sign-in.
Please read over this privacy information carefully and if you accept tap the Allow button, if you do not accept tap Cancel. Please understand that if you would like to use our Facebook feature you will need to allow us the minor access that we are requesting.

Why do all my Outlook Tasks appear as the same color in my App?
The tasks are imported from your PC. All imported tasks brought into the App from a single location are placed into the same category.

Yes, once you have setup your phone to sync with your favorite Web-based Calendars – your calendar information will populate your Plan2Go calendar.

What do I do if I purchase a new phone?
If you remember your initial user name/password, simply enter those in the new phone. If you don’t recall the credentials, you will need to setup your account again. Simply click the Day-Timer button your Outlook toolbar and then click "Edit Username and Password". Enter a new username and password and then update your credentials on the Plan2Go settings page.

What do I do if I purchase a new PC?
If you remember your initial user name/password, simply enter those in Outlook after installation of the plug-in. If you don’t recall the credentials, you will need to setup your account again. Select a new user name and password making sure to update your credentials on the Plan2Go settings page.

What do I do if I deleted my user name/password and can’t remember the initial input?
You may enter a new username and password by clicking the down arrow next to the "Sync Tasks to Day-Timer Button" on your Outlook toolbar. In the menu that appears click "Edit Username/Password" you may then fill in a new username and password. Please remember that you must also change these credentials in your Plan2Go settings.

I am using Outlook 2010 and can’t locate the "Sync tasks to Day-Timer" Button, where can I find it?
Outlook 2010 is the first version of Outlook to use Microsoft’s new Ribbon style toolbar, this organizes your buttons differently then you may be used to from previous versions. Day-Timer’s icon is located on the Add-Ins tab of your Ribbon. Please see the image below for help.
If the Add-In tab does not appear it may be turned off. To turn it back on click File then Options. Then select Ribbon Options on the left. On the right hand list look for Add-Ins and make sure that there is a check next to it. Then click Okay and the Add-Ins tab will appear.
